The first time I met Dr. Gupta, I felt instantly comfortable. She really listened to my complaints and symptoms and actually understood the discomfort and inconvenience of migraine headaches. They used to rule my life so to speak. Either I had a headache or was always afraid of them coming on and ruining my work day, or social plans. She prescribed the right medicines for me and now my headaches are under such better control that they do not dictate my lifestyle anymore. She has even helped me with other areas of my health as well, listening to other symptoms and making suggestions that other doctors have not. I am very, very grateful to Dr. Gupta for her expertise in medicine as well as her friendship and understanding!

Dr. Gupta has been my life saver. After the birth of my first child, my migraines worsened exponentially. I had trouble taking care of my son and I could not continue to work full time because of my migraines. Dr. Gupta helped me get my life back on track. Now I can keep up with my 14 month old! I don’t have words to truly express my admiration and gratitude for Dr. Gupta, both as a practitioner and as a person. I was referred to Dr. Gupta for my chronic migraine headaches about 7 years ago at the Jefferson Headache Clinic. I used to have awful headaches that were so bad, I would moan and cry all night trying to sleep. Sometimes the headaches would last up to a week or more. Living with chronic, relentless pain had a serious negative impact on my life. Dr. Gupta has given me my quality of life back. I still get headaches, but they are well under control, and I don’t cry myself to sleep anymore. Dr. Gupta is the only physician I have ever gone to that I actually looked forward to seeing. I have been dealing with these migraines for more then twenty years and the thing I would like to say to any one else that does is don’t give up hope. I have been to other doctors and tried a lot of different things, nothing seemed to work and it got to the point I felt like a guinea pig. I would end up suffering to point that I had to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night sitting there for hours waiting for help. I’m sure there are people who are all too familiar with this ordeal.
Dr. Gupta is my hero; she started me on a preventative program that helped reduce the amount of headaches I got and informed me of things I could change that has also helped. The best part is she found a go to medication that works in twenty to thirty minutes. I mean it works, my headache is gone. Just knowing I have that has given me my life back. I don’t think I should say what medicine I use because I believe we are all unique when it comes to this problem. What works for me might not for you but If you give her a chance and listen to her you could find the comfort she has given me.
This site in it’s self should show how concerned and devoted she is to helping people like us. She is more then a doctor to me, she is a vey kind and caring friend that holds a special place in my heart, not just for what she has done but for who she really and truly is.

When I first met Dr. Gupta I had been a Migraine sufferer for 35 years. In the sixties and seventies ther was notmuch they could do for migraines. I was on different medications that gave me temporaty help. Then I used to get them monthly,but the past 6 years I get them almost every other day. I tried Chiropractors, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and they were only temporaty fixes. When my family doctor sent me to Dr. Gupta three years ago little did I know what a Godsend she would be. She listened to me which a lot of doctors dont do. How compassionate she was to my situation. How knowledgeable she was in the migraine field. She set me up on a regiment of medications along with Botox injections which for the last three years have kept my migraines at a distance. When I do get them I have medicine that takes them away in about 30 minutes. I think it is so awesome to have a doctor who specializes in the migraine field. It shows how caring and compassionate of a person she really is. I will always be grateful to Dr. Gupta for all her understanding and help to me in my time of need and for her Friendship which I hope to keep up if only through newsletters.
